ID=20803761A shooting in the area of Orange and E. Carolina streets Monday evening left two young teens wounded.

Residents reported hearing gunshots shortly before 8:30 p.m.

"We heard like three shots, three very quickly and then one later, for like a total of four. You know, we were just inside," neighbor Fernando Sandoval said.

According to San Joaquin County sheriff's Lt. Steve Pease, one of the victims was shot in the neck and the other was shot in the stomach. Pease said the victims went door-to-door seeking help.

"What we responded to was a call of two subjects shot who were knocking on doors in the neighborhood asking for help. At this time, the subjects are stable with medics on route to to separate hospitals," Pease said.

The youths were transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition as of Monday night, according to Pease.

A person of interest, a teen boy, was detained in the area of Elm Street and Central Avenue in Lodi, said Lodi police Cpl. Eric Bradley. A vehicle believed used by the person of interest was located nearby.

Bradley didn't know if there were any other persons of interest or suspects in the shooting.
