News

A home-invasion style robbery in Lodi went awry when the victims realized the suspects' weapons were just pellet guns.

One person was arrested Thursday morning while several suspects were on the loose, according to the Lodi Police Department.

Officers responded to a robbery in the 500 block of Sonora Avenue. Several individuals entered a home with rifles, according to the victims. The robbers demanded money and drugs, the victims told police.

When one of the robbers accidentally fired one of their rifles, the victims realized the rifles were, in fact, pellet guns.

They decided to fight off the robbers.

Rohit Manocha, 21, from Beverly Hills was captured and booked into jail on multiple charges, including robbery and burglary, police said.

The other robbers have yet to be identified or caught. If anyone has information please contact Lodi Police Department at (209) 333-6727.
