A meth lab and nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of drugs were found by law enforcement Wednesday in Lodi.

According to the Lodi Police Department, while assisting the Napa County Narcotics Task Force with multiple search warrants in the city, they discovered a methamphetamine conversion lab inside a building located at 27 Maxwell Street. Multiple firearms were also seized.

ID=28488123The task force was investigating Jose Vasquez Bautista, 40, of Lodi when they contacted local authorities about four search warrants. Bautista is currently in custody in Napa.

The methamphetamine lab was processed by the San Joaquin County Narcotics Task Force.

At the scene, officers confiscated approximately 24 pounds of dried crystal methamphetamine and 25 pounds of methamphetamine in 50 gallons of solution.
